Last night Josh and I headed out for what turned out to be a very good evening. It started out a bit rocky, as we were reliant on our GPS to get us there, and it kind of failed us. It got us to the location, but it was hard to determine where exactly the building was. We couldnt find any parking, and in the process of trying to find some we actually ended going up a one-way street the wrong way. It’s only because Josh is a very good driver that we didnt get killed. Finally we found a parking garage and proceeded to look for the building. Believing that the hafla started at 7pm, and given that it was 10 past 7, we both began to think that maybe we’d missed out. I finally spotted the building and we headed in. Thankfully the hafla started at 7:30 so we made it with time to spare!
The evening itself was awesome. No other way of putting it, Bedouin Star’s troupe were out of this world and the rest of the acts that we saw were very good also. We left early because we needed to re-locate the parking garage and didnt feel like doing so very late in the night, so we headed out to walk back to the car. I was on a high (belly-dance does this to me, whether I am watching or dancing, it always puts me on a high and makes me want to go practice like now!) and we talked a lot about the show, which performances we liked etc. It’s nice to have Josh involved in something that is rapidly becoming a huge part of my life, it feels more right this way.
My mood right now is great. For the first time in ages I woke up happy and went uphill from there, and I plan on staying this way as long as I can. It almost feels euphoric, but not the dangerous kind, I feel like this is more of a normal mood than a fear of hypomania. Tonight I start the Zyprexa Zydis (assuming I can get it from the pharmacy), although I’m not looking forward to it. Sublingual pills are on my DO NOT WANT list, so I’m not looking forward to that, especially because I’ve been told that I absolutely have to not swallow it, as the experiment is to see how well it works when it bypasses the gut. Blech. I might buy some altoids in case I have to employ the Saphris- method again!
